Tagged by Tigera.

Panthera Tigris. I hate this species. XD

Holiday goes on. Pretty much nothing to do, rotting away at home. I'm trying to slow the decay process by exercising everyday, walking here and there, reading and staring at computer screen. Hopefully I'll lose a pound or two by end of February.

Today I got my first test of controlling a clunking piece of hardware called the MOTORCAR. Well it was interesting. Adrenaline-pumping. But dad was literally yelling instructions and his hand grabbed the handbrake so hard it would've broken into two if I was really that reckless. Yet I kept making the engine go off. Ah.. fun. Looking forward to next practice.

KL - 2007

2 weeks in KL passed just like that. Time flies like arrows (chinese proverb). And HakkaBoi came back relatively fatter, heavier, happier (what with new clothes and stuff), sickening-er, wonderful-er, and various other adjectives your sick minds can think of. Secara konklusinya, it was ok lah.

I can't quite remember the order of the places I visited, so I compiled the pics as best as I can and whip out a 'story' of my stay at KL.

Let's see. I remember going to KL tower. To think that I went to KL quite couple of times and nvr been up there before. FUNNY la. Like, people ask, "eh got go KL tower a? " and u say " no.." reli sia soi and lap bin.

The first week at KL was full of shopping. I can't even remember where we went. Went to One Utama literally like everyday. First day go, "wahhh.." Second day, " wa. " Third day " aiya ntg liao meh? " Fourth day " sien liao oo.. " Fifth day "let's go somewhere else. " But its HUGE enough to make one WALK and WALK and WALK till kingdom come and STILL don't get to the other end of the mall. And then there's Midvalley Megamall, which is always teeming and packed with people. People mountain people sea. ( direct translate from chinese simpulan bahasa) The x'mas decor was NICE.

Deco at Megamall

Deco at OneU

Then we went to Genting for the weekend. Cold weather as always. But bloody weather the next day meant we can't go for the outdoor theme park ride. Too bad. I looked forward to it. Irony? The next day, sky was clear like hell. So I went " WTF?! YOU ()*@!&$(*&!^#&$!* " Speaking of which, Genting not fun liao. Crawling with Ah Beng and Ah Lian with poor fashion taste that they were quite an eyesore. Smokers everywhere (CURSE THEM!) and well.. not reli nice liao. Times Square also become a haven for these la-la kids with ntg better to do. SIgh. Kids nowadays.

We came back down from Genting and went to explore KL. There was a butterfly park SMACK right in the middle of the city and I didn't even know. There was bird park, orchid garden, deer park, wadever park, garden here garden there, can't even remember.

Bro and I. With the human-faced bug. Good resemblance. =="

Ah.. Scorpion.

Went to Italiannies for dinner once. 200++ for an unforgettable experience and gastronomical delight. Phew.

Black vinegar in olive oil. Eat together with bread, yummy.

Oh ya I forgot to mention the orchid park. Man, the place really brought out the camwhore in me. Snapped photos like mad cause the place is like, uber-beautiful.

I look really sissy in this pic.

Went to Tugu Negara. I know, I know. Sickening right? Well.. Ok la. I didn't expect the bronze monument to be that big though. They're HUGE! The head a.. size of two basketballs. Or even three. Stood at the very place I only see in Sejarah textbook.

Disrespect to the fallen warriors. but who cares? all in the name of fun.

The bird park was quite awesome. I remember feebly that it was very tiring to walk the whole length of the park. Coupled with upset stomach and bout of diarrhoea, it was quite.. unnerving.

I even went for the Eye on Malaysia thingy. Quite nice la..

Worst of all.. the National Museum. Sucks like.. bloody sucky. Expensive ticket. The inside is BLOODY empty. And to think they call it the NATIONAL museum. My foot a.. My granpa's antique room can beat that sickening place a hundred times over.

Went to some temple thingy. Not many good pics..

In all, it was quite a nice trip.. Partly because the whole trip was filled with shopping. Bought lots of stuff.. Books, shoes, clothes. I mean, OMG the clothes a.. Drool.. I know. Sound like sissy. But with discounts and wide selections, KL could turn any macho hunk into a metrosexual guy with a penchant for designer brands. ( Heck, I bought bloody Hush Puppies sandals. But they're uber comfy..) The books a.. I think can keep me occupied for a month. Filled a whole shopping bag with it. I simply love Borders and Kinokuniya.

oh darn i forgot to buy teddy bear laaa.. shiet.

oh well.
Nice right?

I'm leaving in 2 hours.

So basically, this will be my last post for 2 weeks. Wasting time now, listening to MCR, Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne over and over again.

Feel so jiwang suddenly. Why oh why? o.O

Hmm.. everybody's leaving. Finally feel the sudden realisation, that after December, things are gonna change. Many leaving for Australia. Wonder how life would be. Friends.. *sigh* there's this nagging feeling of dread. Dunno why..

Dread and despair are indistinguishable from each other. One could not exist without the other.

Why do I keep thinking of the inevitable, of things that would never happen, and things that are impossible? I'll leave it to God..

There's this phrase from a song... kept playin in me head.

"I drive myself insane wishing I could touch your face, but the truth remains you're gone.."

..Or at least, you will be.. In a month's time..

Review: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

"Random thoughts for Valentine's day, 2004. Today is a holiday invented by greeting card companies to make people feel like crap."

I watched this movie three times already I think. Why? Because it's so bloody jiwang, emo and makes you feel like, well, crap.

Basically the plot revolves around Joel Barish, played by Jim Carrey. He meets a girl, Clementine, and they became involved in a relationship that well, ended in a break up. Typical, you say? That's what I thought at first.

You see, the movie starts with Joel waking up. He somehow got impulsive and took a train to Montauk. There he meets Clementine. Little did he know they met before. Actually they were lovers before the start. So technically, they broke up and met as strangers. Confused now?

Cause you think, heck, how could that be, right?

Well, apparently not so. They were lovers. Yet Clementine got bored of Joel and went to this company, Lacuna Inc, to have her memory of Joel erased. So Joel got wind of this weird company and he hired them to have his memory of Clementine erased too. What's so interesting about this movie is how Joel eventually realises he loves Clementine very much and half the movie shows how he's INSIDE his own mind, trying to save his memories from being erased. Yet somehow, he can't stop it, so everything went POOF! It was a heart-wrenching and touching twist to the plot.

Still confused? I suggest you get the movie yourself and watch it.

The first time I watched it, I struggled to comprehend what's happening. The plot unfolds quite quickly and the pace at which everything runs is smooth, flawless and yet makes you breathless and say, " What? Wait wait what's happening? Hey how come he - wait, stop! Rewind! Yes, and then? HUH??! WHY? Hey hey, stop, rewind! Wait, he's there right? And then why -- hey what happened?? " yeap. Don't worry though, eventually you'll get it.

The story is very original and one of a kind. Not your average love flick or Jane-meets-John sorta movie. What's more, the whole thing was filmed with a hand-held camera, minus all the big budget huge cameras from Hollywood. So it kinda creates a very creative, surreal and somehow familiar experience for the audience. One would just sit back, relax, try not to think too much and then the story will grab you inside, suck you in like a whirlpool and make everything feel fake, surreal, and in the movie's case, ERASE-able.

In the end, you get a warm feeling inside. And you proclaim " LOVE CONQUERS ALL!! " .. so not. Why? Cause everybody makes mistakes. What's nice about this movie is that the main protagonist gets a second chance. I love the part when he finally gives up trying to stop the inevitable and enjoy the last moments he'll ever have with his love.

Hard to properly describe. You have to watch it. For the total jiwang experience and unforgettable quotes. For example, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. From Alexander Pope.

Rating: 9/10

Sunlight!

Ah.. sunlight. How I miss you so. I miss the streams of warmth on my skin.

The clouds parted after 3 (4?) days of torrential rain. Bleargh. Bloody weather.

Woke up at 8 this morning. I'm so bored. Again. Downloaded Michael Learns to Rock. Four albums. I know, they're so old school. Classic. But hey, the songs are good. G-O-O-D. Priceless. Evokes emotions and soothes the soul. Phew. Soft, emo and jiwang ballads. Perfect for a calm, tranquil afternoon.

I want an Asus G1S. Now.

Drool. It sports the latest technology. Though not up to par with a proper desktop gaming monster, it's the best money can buy for a mobile gaming experience. Intel Core 2 Duo, NVidia GeForceGo 8600, super clear LCD, 2 GB RAM and 200 GB SATA HDD. Omg. Even better than this aging PC I'm using. Bleargh. It's not too expensive too. RM4k plus. Or was it RM5k? Either way, there are loads of goodies bundled together. Word's on the street that they're gonna develop a G3S. o.O w-o-w.

ELC dinner later. Hope it'd be fun.

Bloody rain.

I hate this bloody weather. Rain for 3 days non-stop. Well, it has stopped. For now.

Today went to listen law. Bored.. almost fell asleep. But the instructor was funny enough. Cracked jokes that were silly and funny enough to make me guffaw stupidly.

I'm starting to rot with boredom. Partly due to wet and humid weather, the moisture accelerating rotting process by tenfold. Boredom is in my mind. And it's boredom that dictates my thought right now, with solely boredom telling me to keep typing this stupid entry out of, again, sheer boredom.

I find that I suddenly lost my willpower. Too lazy to even bother doing anything to kill the boredom.

I toyed with my guitar, which must had been a really good, damp place for the itsy-bitsy spiders to spin their webs everywhere. True enough, there were cobwebs when I took it out. Been practising the most basic of notes and stuff. I have no musical talent. Sob. Fingers kept hooking the wrong string and they are sore from pressing the chords. T.T

I want an Asus G1. Definitely. A gaming laptop worth dying for. Well, as a figure of speech. And I want a Nokia N81. Or at least something that could amuse and entertain me.

Blah.. rain rain go away..

Have you ever felt so nervous when you look at someone and she smiles at you until you're tongue-tied? Dammit.. *one more week to go. Come back soon... =) *

Freedom~

It's over at last. Finally. The much anticipated, the one thing everyone's been preparing for. The much dreaded SPM (for some) is finally over. That being said, it was SUCH an anti-climax. I mean, 2 years of studying so many things, stuffing soo many pieces of useless junk here and there and they only tested what, like, 0.1% of everything. Toot *$@()!($%^#(@^$* government! Blah.. But then again, this is our beloved Malaysia, so what to do? I've got a lot of things against the government, but for fear of retribution and accused of stoking disharmony, I shall say nothing.

Let's see. SPM. Recap?

=> Sejarah was okay. Everything came out as predicted, thanks to Recom.org who has such wonderful cheak pah bo su zho (after eat ntg to do) punya people. Someone did a cross-reference of all state papers, analyze them and set an area of topics that would come out. And 90% came out. PErfecT. But I didn't think I did that well. Kept forgetting stuffs here and there..

=> BM and English okay lah. BM sastera I didn't even study one.. OMG.. I spot the stuff they'll set mana tau everything not chun. Damn. I wrote my mushiest essay for English. Hope the examiner read until cry.

=> The Science subjects? ARGH! No comment. Gek tiok. I kept forgetting minor details here and there. Bleargh. One mark here, two marks there gone. Yet it was quite simple la..

The rest of the subjects being okay and so-so, SPM passed relatively smoothly. And one day after SPM, the car broke down. Battery suddenly died out. Lucky huh? Imagine if that happened during SPM. Phew. Maybe it has something to do with all this rain. Bloody weather.

After SPM, nothing to do. Bored. Installed Need For Speed: Most Wanted, but kept crashing the car. Blek. Wanna play Lineage II. Graphics look so cool. *drool* can't wait for trip to KL. Can go Genting play roller coaster until I puke my breakfast out. *excited* And I'm gonna spend 300 bucks buying books. I absolutely love Borders. Nothing better than to gimme RM300 and lemme go free in the book store for one whole day (which was what my family did last year, they dumped me there and went off shopping) but it was so fun. Loads of books..

I think my eyes starting to deteriorate. Too much staring into PC screen.

Hmm.. what to do.. so bored. Aih..
