Hakka Boi did it.

Today was Hari Penyampaian Hadiah. I prefer to call it Hari Pelajar Cemerlang. That being said, I feel really happy, excited and thrilled today. Honour of a lifetime. Cut the Oscar mukadimah, lets get to the flesh..

Mum dropped me off at school by 7 a.m. Went to the hall by 8.00 a.m. Full of people dy. Saw Pei Ying, then we chatted.

The stage. Note the teacher beside the prefect. He could play the keyboard. o.O I didn't even know. Awesome. He was playing background music for guests then.

Awesome rendition of songs by choir.

Ex Head Boy and Head Girl.

Didn't have the chance to take photos of the band performing. Bloody awesome. Anyway, it was a usual ceremony. I went to this thing for the past 4 years. Oh well. What really caught me off-guard is that I was actually selected for best overall student for 2007. Pelajar Lelaki Terbaik Keseluruhan 2007. O.o wow. Bloody surprising. The other one, Pelajar Perempuan Terbaik Keseluruhan was a Form 6 gal. Lynn Ko.

Reporters everywhere. The teachers all wear same colour one. =="

Lynn and I with Ayahanda Pengetua.

Mummy & I after the ceremony.

This award restored my self-esteem somewhat. I mean, there are soo many others that are qualified for it. Yet I was chosen. I'm thrilled.

Random pics. Pn. Azlin. The guy is the present Head Boy, apparently, my mum's ex student from SMK Stampin. Girl prefect also ex student of my mum.

This is it. The plaque is for the best overall student award. Four certificates for best subject in Sejarah, English, third place in Form 5 Science overall and one for best overall student award. Inside envelope, RM30 voucher from school. And Inti College even gave me Book Prize worth RM100, cheque lai de.

It all feels so unreal.. Finally, the Hakka Boi did something. I did it! After all these years.. Countless bad memories, stupid moments, humiliation.. I finally have something. An honour. Legacy. SOMETHING. At least I have one last good memory of my secondary school.

I really didn't expect to get it. Wow..

One last target for my secondary school life. That would be the much coveted JPA scholarship. If I get it, it all comes full circle. It'll complete my life. See, my sister failed to get into matriculation. My bro got it. He was chosen was candidate for Pelajar Cemerlang, but failed to get it. I got it. He failed to get JPA. Now, I
MUST get it. My one and only target. Honour for family, honour for myself, honour for the school, glory, life, destiny.

Here it comes. SPM in 2 days. Bring it on!

There's no love.. or there is?

Basic Principles - no woman wakes up saying "God, I hope I don't get swept off my feet today!"

The movie's opening line. Lol, I just watched this movie. What movie? Oh, Hitch. It was out ages ago but I didn't watch it because I brushed it off, thinking it was just another comedy. I had a chance to buy the DVD version and this afternoon I watched it out of sheer boredom and procrastination when in fact I should be studying Sejarah. Phew. 6 more days to SPM and I'm slacking off. XP

Anyway, Hitch is about well, Hitch. He's the greatest matchmaker , albeit working secretly, in the Big Apple. Then comes along Albert Brennaman, walking and talking disaster. He's a tax consultant who works for Allegra, a celebrity of some sort. See, he got this huge crush on Allegra and he turns to Hitch for help. As usual, Hitch delivers as promised, professionally. Then comes Sara, beautiful journalist, sorta, who got Hitch's attention. Yet, it all went ugly when Sara found out what Hitch does for a living. One thing leads to another, and well, it was a good movie. Did they get together? Find out yourself. =)

The plot was interesting enough. The humour? Good. Not great, but just enough to make you snigger and chuckle, even if you're alone watching it. I just like the way the movie slips in bits of interesting messages. In the end, one feels enlightened after watching it. As if your eyes are suddenly opened. You suddenly realised love is not something that can be planned and created out of will. It just happens.

Conclusion? Good movie. Light-hearted, fast and not too windy plot. Great for weekends.

Rating: 7.5/10

9 more days and counting..

I really should be studying, yet I feel too lazy to haul my ass to the study room. Just way too lazy to sit down and study. Seriously.

Today had Principles of Accounts exam. It wasn't hard, surprisingly, considering that I just started studying two years' worth of notes yesterday. I've got good brain, yay, thank you. Oh vain me. Who cares. XP

Anyway, I found this interesting video on Youtube again. Lol. Only now do I realise the true potential of Youtube. Anyway, do enjoy. =)
